Former SVP of Global Operations at Broadcom joins Mixx to steer manufacturing scale-up of next-generation AI optical connectivity solutions.
SAN JOSE, Calif. — 10 December 2025 — Mixx Technologies, a pioneer in silicon-integrated optical connectivity for AI infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Boon Chye (BC) Ooi to its Board of Directors. A seasoned semiconductor executive with over 30 years of operational leadership, Ooi brings a wealth of expertise in scaling global supply chains and high-volume manufacturing to Mixx as the company accelerates the deployment of its HBxIO™ platform.
Ooi served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Broadcom Inc. (formerly Avago Technologies) for over a decade. During his tenure, he was instrumental in orchestrating one of the semiconductor industry’s most complex and efficient global supply chains, overseeing worldwide manufacturing, procurement, and logistics. Prior to Broadcom, Ooi held senior executive roles at Xilinx and Intel, where he built a reputation for driving operational excellence and gross margin expansion.
His appointment comes at a critical inflection point for Mixx Technologies. Following its recent $33 million Series A funding, Mixx is moving to commercialize its breakthrough optical interconnects, which are designed to solve the “data movement bottleneck” in hyperscale AI clusters.
